The gap between when wagering closes and the live race goes off will vary, but generally it's approximately 5 minutes. We try to make the gap as small as possible, but those damn virtual athletes are "hard to herd" - some drivers don't want to get in their cars, some of the cyclists are prima donnas and don't want to get on their bikes, and sometimes the pit crew just can't get their act together.

But rest assured, we're working on getting them to speed things up....but god help us, it's like herding virtual cats at times!

P.S. Don't forget that all of these races are based on real live events - so the delays are really the result of us waiting for the outcome of the live event.
